15J Swiss Watch, Wadsworth Gold Engraved Case

Antique 15 Jewel Swiss Watch, Wadsworth Referee Quality Gold Engraved Octagonal Case. It has a heavy plating of gold with fine engraving on the bezel. The case measures 1" across excluding the lugs. The watch is working fine. Each of the pointed edges of the bezel shows a some wear to the gold plating. At first glance it looks like it is suppose to be like this as it is gives it a yellow and rose gold look. However on closer inspection I can see that is a wearing away of the thick layer of gold. Back and the rest of the watch only has some moderate scratches with no base metal showing through. (with exception of the margins where the top and bottom fit together there is a tiny bit of greenish tarnish.) The watch face needs cleaning. Amazingly the crystal is in very good shape. I don't fine any significant nicks or scratches. There are many finely engraved markings on the inside back. Please take a look at the pictures. The band is an older braided fabric with leather with metal brackets. I doubt is the band is original but it is still quite old.

Wadsworth made cases mainly for pocket watches around WWI. The movement is Swiss and there are some markings that you can use to identify the specific maker of this movement.
