We are pleased to be offering today is a gentleman and ladies chair that even through the wood frame is not an exact match, they were matched in a home with the same expensive upholstery. The black walnut frames date from the 1860s to 1870s and are very similar. Unless you look closely, you would never know they are not a match as the fabric dominates your eye. One chair has metal castors that are all original and the other chair has wooden castors that appear to be original. The gentleman’s arm chair is in nice condition and I don’t see anything wrong with it. The ladies chair is in good condition with a typical split in the seam in the back that we will tighten up prior to shipping. There are no metal bracing or any poor repairs to the chair. The ladies chair is 26 inches across, 22 inches deep, 39 inches high to the crest and 18 inches high to the seat. The gentleman’s chair is 26 inches wide, 22 inches deep, 46 inches to the top of the crest, 24 inches high to the arm and 18 inches high to the seat. It is a great dual of chairs. They have cabriole legs, carved knuckles on the gent’s chair and finger carving on both backs of the balloon shape chairs. You are getting both chairs for one money. Shipping starts at $365 if you are in our normal area and will increase in costs if not. This estimate is for the East coast. You are welcome to use your own shipper if desired. Please contact us prior to purchase with a zip code to confirm that you are in our normal area.
