Our client's magnificent Victorian period Celtic cross pendant in 18 ct gold with round amethyst cabouchon stone in center measures 5.20 by 9.0 by 1.3 cm (2 by 3.5 by 0.5 in) and weighs 51 grams (1.83 oz, 1.67 troy oz).  Total length including ring is 10.5 cm (4 1/8 in).

It carries English hallmarks, including "18" in cartouche and crown in eight-sided cartouches on side of the top of the cross.  On reverse are the maker's mark, WBP (or possibly WBR), left-facing queen, leopard for London, capital letter K mark for 1853, crown and "18" mark again.

Condition is good.  There are numerous scratches and tiny nicks, consistent with age and good care.
