18th Century European School Figurative Watercolor Paintings

Unavailable

Our collection of size figurative watercolors dating from the eighteenth century reside in glazed period giltwood frames measuring 11.5 by 14.25 inches.  All apparently unsigned, and not examined outside their respective frames.

They depict scenes from Gothic era castle and its surroundings, including a prince being entertained by harpsicourd and lute player, courting lovers in the countryside, subjects bowing to a prince, female on horseback being handed a goblet with would-be assassin behind her, cavalier greeting two females, and a couple dancing in a courtyard.
