Quantity available: 1

Our client's antique Louis XVI period candelabra of French origin depicting Roman neoclassical male and female holding cornucopia are finely carved from white marble, with four light ormolu bronze candleholders of foliate design with fruits, nuts and grape bunches. Provenance: Arne Schlesch & José Juárez Garza Antiques, New York. Danish-born Schlesch and his Mexican-born partner, Jose Juarez Garza, drew collectors and interior designers from around the world to their townhouse gallery on East 64th Street on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, to choose from among the finest Scandinavian and European antiques for four decades.  Each 32 in (81 cm) tall and 12.5 in (31.75 cm) across.

Each with minor losses.  Gilt surfaces with oxidation and rubbing wear and some signs of verdigris, plus bends. Bronze candleholders fit into the marble and are not affixed to the marble. Restoration to the top of the marble on the female.  May have other restorations.
