1915 3-D Liberty Head watch fob necklace on black silk ribbon sterling medallion

$145.00
Quantity available: 1
This sterling coin is called a pop up coin that was probably one of the the first way things got recycled into jewelry in the Victorian era. (I also have the matching ring listed) This has its original sterling ring too. Added to that was some vintage silky ribbon that was hand woven to form the drop that holds the sterling fob. Matching ribbon with a knot on each side that tie around the neck finishes off this neat assemblage necklace. In the Victorian mourning period, black was used on many necklaces and ribbon was one of the most popular. The double ribbon that goes around the neck measures 36" long a 1/4" wide. It is really silky and not stiff. The fob with ribbon measures 3 1/2" long.
