1934 Coleman Lantern Model 242 With Reflector Model 242C

Unavailable
Antique Coleman kerosene lantern, Model 242, with Model 242C reflector. The lantern has the original green Rising Sun Pyrex globe, manufactured in September, 1934, and it has the original reflector with a blue painted handle. It is said that the blue handles were left over from a line of clothes irons manufactured by the Coleman company. The company owner ordered his designers to find a new use for the leftover blue handles which led to the production of the first line of reflectors with handles. Subsequent lines did not have blue handles. This antique lantern is in good to very good condition, with less than normal wear for its age. The globe has no chips or cracks. The lantern body and reflector handle have some paint loss. Please refer to the 4 photographs for appearance and condition. Shipping / packaging / handling will be $12.00.
