Whitman specialized in fiction for young readers. The cover has some wear on the corners and the covers are pulling away from the spine. But the pages themselves are firmly attached to the inside adhesive substance that keeps them all together with exception of the cover page. There is a name of a boy written in ink on the into page . The 282 pages are yellowed but more so on the very edges of them. The cellophane protective coating on the book is pealing on the spine. The good news is that the graphics on the front and back covers are still very colorful and bright. The illustration are throughout the book are all nice.
