19614 Victorian Oval Porcelain Pedestal Sink by Standard
We are pleased to be offering today this oval porcelain pedestal sink that was purchase right out of a southern Maine Victorian home last month that dates from the late 1800's. It even has the original porcelain handles, even though I am sure they will need new washers. This model, If I recall correctly from my previous sinks, was sold by the Standard Company and the model is Copley. They made this in two sizes and this is the larger one. It sits upon a ribbed column base. The porcelain itself is in really good shape with minor nicks and dings. There is a rust mark that I believe will rub right out. The overall size of the bowl is 33 inches across, 23 inches deep and the side walls are 6.5 inches high. The overall height from the floor to the top of the sink is 31 inches high. It is getting tougher and tougher to find these Victorian sinks because most of the Victorian homes got rid of them years ago. If you are restoring a Victorian home, this is a great deal. The cost of shipping due to excessive weight is $425 throughout the continental United States. It would be less in New England.
