19622 Victorian Rare Burl Walnut Corner China Closet

We are pleased to be offering today this item that I have never seen before in my over 50 years in the antique business. This is a Victorian carved very heavy bevel glass corner china closet that dates from the 1870s to 1880s. It was purchased out of a home in Connecticut that was sold by a big antique company in the 1970s to this lady’s estate. The sons believe she paid around $7,500 originally. We have adjusted the price to the current market, so don’t miss out on this unusual piece. It was refinished at least 50 years ago. Look at the all the pictures to see all the heavy duty carving all the way around, super tall corner crest with nuts and berries and leaves. The top section has two bevel glass doors that open with corner shelves. It has two drawers in the base and then two more bevel glass doors in the bottom. I could go on and on, but the pictures will show the beauty of this cabinet. It has the normal issues where some of the wood has loosened up over the years and I am sure it must be missing some berries or tips of leaves, but it is a beautiful true find in the Victorian world. The overall size is 48 inches across, the top steps back 6 inches from the base, 34 inches deep approximately and 88 inches high overall. It takes up approximately 34 inches of wall space. The two doors on top are 19 inches tall and 14 inches wide. The two bottom doors are 24 inches tall and 16 inches wide. The wooden vase on top that is holding the flowers is approximately 19 inches high. The corner crest on top is two different sections that is 30 inches tall. The glass door section is 22 inches tall on top. The base cabinet including the drawers is 36 inches tall. It is a great looking piece of true Victorian that you will not find again.
