19807 Victorian Burl Walnut Marble Top Credenza
We are pleased to be offering today this very stunning of Victorian furniture from the 1860s to 1870s era as displayed in this gorgeous step up marble top heavily carved burl walnut credenza. What a beautiful piece. It doesn’t really get much better than this. It has brown bevel edge marble on all three tops. The sides are all picture frame molded with gorgeous grains on the veneer panels. The face of the cabinet just blows my mind with selective top quality burl walnut as displayed in the three doors with the panel trims, carvings and the picture frame molded panels. Even the drawer and baseboard has the same high end burl. If you are looking for a show off piece of Victorian, than this is definitely a candidate. The positives just keep going on and on, but the pictures will show you. There a few minor negatives: there is a key hole missing on one door, there is no key, the marble is a little rough on top where the grain is designed and one corner has been repaired, one wood shelf in the center compartment is cracked and we will glue it up before shipping. Other than that, it is pretty nice. The back is strange as it appears they had it mounted to wall as you can see where there was screws put on both sides. One of the guys in the shop thought it might have had a mirror, but I do not believe it did. If anything there may have been a backsplash at one time. The overall size is 60 inches wide, 18 inches deep on the outside sections, 20 inches deep on the center section, 44 inches high on the lower section and 51 inches high on the center section. Take time to look at all the pictures to see how beautiful the burl and carvings are. The doors open to reveal double shelves on each section for storage that are at fixed heights. Shipping starts at $400 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.
