A very unusual English Mahogany Library Table  c 1840 with wonderfully carved trestle Base Stretcher.  Side Pedestal Legs have detail and patina with age appropriate wear.  Top has minor shrinkage and one crack to the surface due to the age.  Restorations evident to crack.  Minor wear and use is evident.   Mahogany tone has very warm, amber highlights and the wood has very beautiful patina.  Length and narrow depth make it a perfect behind sofa compliment in any room.
