Airlines Of U.S. Deliver Mail Ad 1945 This is a January 13, 1945 advertisement. It is a very nice color ad from The Airlines of the United States. Ad shows mail being handed to the stage coach driver. Great picture by Bingham. Beneath the picture it reads, will all mail some day go by air. Since the days of Benjamin Franklin first Postmaster General, it has been Government policy to move mail the fastest possible way as a means of promoting social and economic unity in this vast country. State coaches carrying mail were given the right of way. Pony Express was encouraged. In mint condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This original magazine tear sheet measures 10 1/2 inches wide by 13 1/2 inches tall.
