Allison Repeat Performance Ad 1945 This is a August 11, 1945 advertisement. It is a nice color ad from Allison Division of General Motors. Ad shows picture of the aircraft motor and a Pilot giving the OK signal from the cockpit. Ad reads, on plane after plane, rising suns line up beside swastikas as the men and planes that helped smash the Nazis join the fight against the Japanese. Familiar as the voice of an old friend is the smooth running power of their Allison engines. Powered by Allison is the P38 Lightning, the P39 Airacobra, the P40 Warhawk and the A36 and P51A Mustang. In mint condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This original magazine tear sheet measures 10 1/2 inches wide by 13 1/2 inches tall.
