Really nice image of a man in medieval dress from John Moyr Smith's "Husbandry" series of twelve tiles showing work being done in a pre-industrial era. This one depicts a man grafting new shoots on fruit trees and is printed in brown on a buff clay body, Mintons China Works. Tile is in very good condition but for some edge nics, particularly at right 1/3 down and bottom right corner; shallow glaze flake lower left corner; light surface marks seen only against the light.
