A rare tile by Wedgwood from its "American Series" depicting a scene from Longfellow's "The Courtship of Miles Standish". The tile is printed on a T&R Boote back and so dated to sometime after 1900 (Austwick at 103). It is in very good condition with some wear at the corners and edges as shown.
