Pattern 279? from Wedgwood & Sons, depicting a classical scene surrounded by ribbons and garlands in an ancient Roman style with musical instruments, gryphons and a thyrsus or two printed in sepia on a buff clay body. The tile is in good condition with an upper left corner nick and another at center bottom from which a hairline extends about an inch upward. Please write with any questions you may have.
