Or Best OfferWe are pleased to be offering today this wonderful solid black walnut French carved oversize throne chair that dates from the 1890s era in wonderful condition. Someone has put new upholstery on it in the last few years. It is an antique blue with a maple leaf design. The chair itself is all solid black walnut with a cane back that is all original and good. It has a fruit basket on top full of carved fruit and berries. It has bell carvings going through the center splat and a dainty molded edge that goes down into the large scroll arms. A fluted post reverses up and down and is finished off with a Spanish foot and pierce carved cross stretcher across the front two legs. There are solid turn spindles that join the front leg with the flared back leg. The overall size is 25 inches wide, 21 inches deep, 55 inches high to the top of the chair back, 28 inches high on the arms and 20 inches high on the seat. It would look great in an office, boudoir or a hallway. Shipping starts at $265 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area.
