This liberty head gold coin ( tests at 10kt gold) is mounted on a stickpin and would have been worn on a man's lapel or ascot. This measures 3" long and is quite a beautiful piece. I don't know anything about coins so I hope the photos give you enough information on the type of gold coin this is. IT looks like it has been hand soldered by a jeweler a long while back and they did not buff out the solder well. ( see photo) but it is extremely sturdy and as solid as it can possibly be.
