From the unforgettable satiric series "Gastronomic Homilies", possibly designed by Thomas Allen, for Josiah Wedgwood & Sons, Etruria, c. 1880, comes this in the series of twelve, "Treason Is Not Owned When Tis Discried Successfull Crimes Alone Are Justified." Tile is transfer printed in navy blue on white clay and is in excellent condition with a tiny l.r. corner nick and light roughness to right edge. Thank you for your consideration.
