This is a fantastic mid 1800's powder flask/ shot pouch by American Flask & Cap Company, (marked on the barrel AM – Flask & Cap Co). The brass & leather body is decorated with a beautiful Hunting Dog inside medallion on both sides. Ovbiously well used ( and the stories this one must have!) it is such a great old piece of American history. These are really in simple terms " small container with a nozzle for carrying and dispersing gunpowder". THis measures 8 1/2" long and is sold in as is condition.
