Wonderful five-color majolica tile from Maw & Co's Benthall Works at Broseley Salop in a centralized neogothic floral and geometric design, c. 1860-1875. Bright glaze colors in very good condition with very little to no surface wear; there is minor edge wear as shown, a bit heavier at the corners; the tile is .5" thick; excellent glossy finish.
