Lovely blue and white transfer printed tile with a fine glossy glaze from Minton Hollins & Co., in the japonaise style depicting a bamboo-handled porcelain jardiniere with flowers in a loose, free hand. The tile is in excellent condition with slight upper edge nibble toward right as shown. There is a registration stamp on reverse which is difficult to make out, but I believe that it dates the tile to 1878. Please write with any questions you may have.
