Wonderful five-color majolica tile with the back marked "Minton & Co." (though probably manufactured by the firm when it was known as Minton Hollins & Co.) in a neogothic design. Fabulous glaze colors include blue-tinged lavender and deep antique rose, laid out in a symmetrical design; the tile is .5" thick and so was probably intended to be used as a floor tile. Condition is very good/excellent with a small area at the at the lower right corner that has been expertly restored; very little wear otherwise. Excellent glossy finish.
