Antique Oak File Cabinet 12 Drawer Legal by Library Bureau #19584

This outstanding antique file cabinet features 12-drawers, tiger sawn oak construction, in the legal size. This antique file cabinet features its original old finish and dates from around the 1890s Victorian era. This antique file cabinet is finished on the back and front so that it can be left out in the middle of the office and be used as a room divider. The drawers measure 15.25 inches wide by 24 inches deep by 10.75 inches tall on the drawer face. Most people put hanging file frames in the drawers nowadays, but you can use it as it is with legal size documents. Each one has the Library Sole Maker brass tag on front. It probably came out of a government office as it has a serial number tag on one side. The other side has a tag saying it came out of a commercial building. One of the drawers appears to have an ink stain on the front, which can be sanded out during refinishing. It has the original hardware. The handles are all intact. The index rectangle brass card holders have 6 missing, and we will try to find something similar if you remind us at the point of sale. The knobs are missing on most of them, which is normal. The overall size is 60 inches wide, 27 inches deep and 51.5 inches high overall. It is unique to find in the original finish with minor nicks and dings.
