Antique plant stand with gilded rope twist metal legs. This very handsome plant stand has a square black-painted wooden top with age crackling. The gilded metal alloy base features four curved rope twist legs, a round decorative central support, and a chain link lower shelf. This distinctive piece measures approximately 29.25 inches high and 16 inches square, and weighs 14 pounds, which is substantial given its slender silhouette. The solid wooden table top measures approximately 12 inches square and 1.5 inches thick, and features nicely moulded edges. The gilded base measures approximately 16 inches square at the floor. This piece is in very good condition, very solid and sturdy, with the table top showing crazing of the finish due to age. The gilded base has some minor scuffing near the bottom.
