This Antique Secretary Desk comes straight out of an East Coast estate, and is all untouched and original. It is a Victorian walnut and burl walnut carved cylinder secretary, dating from the 1880s. This cylinder secretary has a commode base, with a large drawer beneath the cylinder, two small drawers to the left-hand side. and a storage compartment door on the right-hand side. The dark burl cylinder roll is all-good and retains the original hardware. When you open the cylinder roll, it reveals the original cubby hole interior with the two drawers and original pull-out writing surface that has the original worn out felt. It has original wavy glass doors in the bookcase top with three adjustable shelves. The top is heavy crown molded with burl accent trims. It has walnut sides with panels in the base. It is all original right down to the hardware. The overall size is 38 inches wide, 23 inches deep, 30 inches high to the writing surface and 84 inches high overall.
