Antique Set of 7 Mahogany Ball and Claw Dining Chairs – Twin Arms #21449

This set of antique dining room chairs consists of seven Chippendale solid mahogany ball and claw dining chairs. Dating from the early 1900’s in original right out of the home condition. They have old black leather seat coverings that don’t appear to be ripped but do show some wear; the seats are usable as is. They have a black accent tack that ties the covering into the seat; some of the black covers of the buttons are missing. The set consists of 5 side chairs and 2 armchairs, and the overall condition is original. We would strongly recommend having these refinished as the finish is worn here and there, but they are usable the way they are. One of the armchairs had the splat pushed out the back and we will repair it prior to shipping. These antique dining chairs are all solid mahogany with solid carved knuckles on the armchairs, cabriole style ball and claw legs, and a reddish-brown stain finish. The chairs would look amazing refinished as the grains of the mahogany are strong like flame mahogany. The overall size of the armchairs is 24 inches wide, 20 inches deep, 20 inches high to the seat, 28 inches high to the arms and 42.5 inches high to the chair back. The side chairs are 20 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 19 inches high to the seat and 42 inches high to the chair back. They are a beautiful set of quality chairs.
