This is a nice quality made, antique smaller sized spoke shave, 10.5" wide x 2.0" cutter width. The cutter nearly flat with about 1/32" convex sweep per side noted when a straight edge is held up to the cutter, in good sharp condition. It is not marked by the maker, most likely made in England, Sheffield style and/or shape and boxwood type wood. Overall this tool is in good++ condition with little wear noted, a few scratches in brass plated mouth area, no chips, the cutter holds snug in position, yet is removeable if you are careful. We note a few minor stains on the wood noted, clean with no damage, cracks, nice patina. The brass plate in front of the cutting edge is flat with very little wear. A nice old edge tool!
