Antique Victorian Oak Macy Secretary Roll Top Desk – RARE #22002

We are pleased to be offering this tiger sawn roll top ladies secretary bookcase made by the Macy Furniture Company that is well known for their office equipment. This piece has a pull-out writing surface on the left-hand side that swivels. There are two dove tail drawers that come with keys. Then there are two carved doors; the right-hand side is file cabinet slots, and the left-hand side is a triple drawer interior. The tambour roll opens to expose a cubbyhole and drawer interior with pull out pencil trays. The top is an egg and dart picture frame dentil bookcase top that has one adjustable shelf in the center. It is tiger sawn oak and appears to be the original finish from the 1890s. This desk is ready to go into the home or office. The overall size is 40 inches wide, 28 inches deep, 31 inches high to the writing surface, and 66 inches high overall. The bookcase section on top is 11 inches deep. This desk is in great condition and has delicate carvings. It has French influenced carvings. It comes with the keys, but we do not guarantee the locks to work. The space for your legs is 15 inches wide by 24 inches high. It is a beautiful desk that is rare. It is a great investment minded antique with cabriole legs.
