This is unique set of special purpose pliers with the mark of a medical tool maker on them. They are marked "F. ARNOLD BALTO". The handles appear to have been shape to fit the hand and keep the hand from slipping off the end of the handles. The jaws have a concave shape inside and appear to have been design to grasp something round with rounded edges, like an O-ring shaped part about 1/2" in diameter or less, and about 1/4" wide or less. The jaw tip on the upper side also has a double concave radius formed into the top, making a pointed tip near the center of the jaw. The jaws and pivot point are in very good condition, nice clean surfaces of the pliers that most likely originally had nickel plating on them. Nice design on the handles! A truly unique tool!
