A rare sight in our modern day, this old authentic Gendang/Kendang Melayu / Malay Drum is beautifully handmade from rattan, hardwood and domestic lamb skin. The stretched skin do have some minor openings due to natural aging but otherwise this is a stunning piece of Traditional Malay Instrument fit for a museum display. Circa 1960, Sarawak.
