Auto Lite Spark Plugs Sub Went Down Purty Ad 1944 This is a December 12, 1944 advertisement. It is a nice color ad from The Electric Auto-lite Company of Toledo. This ad is done in a Hill Billy Type Cartoon. Shows some men standing and or sitting near a stream of water. Looks like Granny on a little bridge. Can see a periscope peeping through the water and it reads, ""Rafe's sub shore went down mighty purty. Wonder if he's figgered how to git her up"" In excellent condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This magazine tear sheet measures 9 3/4"" wide by 12 3/4"" tall.
