  NICE OLD BLUE WHITE SALT GLAZE  STONEWARE PITCHER FROM WESTERN STONEWARE CO MONMOUTH IL..     This rare  authentically very old squat shape  crockery with embossed cattails , rush pattern with the little  dragonflies  -   There are few chips on the rim of the base.     Plus  some pock marks in  glaze throughout.  There is a blue spatter on one side but not on the other.    No cracks to report    It is very heavy.   FANTASTIC old   SQUAT pitcher -   It is  approx 7" tall by 7" across, including PULLED spout and perfect APPLIED handle! SMOOTH unglazed concave bottom.    Great old early American primitive.
