BMC Mfg. Co. Pliers Wrench No. 9

This is an early vise-grip type pliers wrench, in very good useable condition, clearly marked with the maker's name. It is marked BMC MFG. CO. BINGHAMTON N.Y. PATENT PENDING. It is 8.3" long overall. There is an incremented jaw capacity adjustment scale, from 1/4-1.0" to preset the size you need. Overall in good condition, no rust, or damage, good jaws, and jaw serrations (teeth). Some minor wear and tiny dings.  The jaw adjustment on this works smoothly, good threads but is a little bit sticky, it's not hard to remedy, just open the jaw up and put it on the bolt you want to grasp and it will move a far as the preset will allow it.  It appears that someone peened the assembly rivets to tighten them up, which as far as I can see was accomplished, maybe too tight.   It may have been black oxide finish originally, if so some has worn off. The red handle appears to be hard rubber in great shape. A good user.
