Bordens Fine Idea Ad 1947 This is an April 21, 1947 advertisement. It is a nice color ad from The Borden Company. It pictures Elsie the Cow, Elmer the Bull and little Beulah. Elsie is saying ""I think it's a fine idea to pay salaries to wives"" Elmer says, ""If husbands paid wives the way bosses pay husbands, maybe there'd be more work done in homes from 9 to 5"" In mint condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This magazine tear sheet measures 9 1/2"" wide by 13"" tall.
