Bottle carrier Eales Silverplate 1779, Italy are the markings on the bottom of this wine bottle carrier. It is silver plate, and has a split where the bottom of the bottle goes which was probably caused from trying to put in a bottle that was too large for the holder. It is still useable and will still be attractive, as no one will notice. The top which has a pin to insert the bottle,where most damage occurs is excellent. This will be very elegant on your table. It is a older piece probably from the 1940 era. 9 1/2 inches high and 3 1/2 base and 1 1/2 inch on top. Please note, any designs or colors in the pictures are just from the lighting, it is silver with no variation
