One of Bradley & Rolofson's famous Celebrities photo montages; accompanied by a key to the numbered figures. Stamped verso 'ARCHIVES' PURCHASE', the print must have been deaccessioned from an archive. Bradley & Rulofson (H.W. Bradley and W.H. Rulofson) was a popular San Francisco portrait studio, active c.1860s-1880s. The firm also published E.J. Muybridge's photographs, among others. I.W. Taber worked for the partners upon his return to San Francisco from New York City in 1864 and continued with them for seven years until opening his own studio. The Celebrities depicted here are presumed to be San Francisco figures of the day. .
