This is a very nice 12 inch precision vernier height gauge with some extras including a nice leather covered wooden custom case with purple color velvet covering the inside. The name BROWN & SHARPE are on both the inside and outside of the case. The leather and two clasps are in nice shape also. The height gauge is also marked BROWN & SHARPE MFG. CO. PROVIDENCE R.I. U.S.A. LBS 585 on the main beam near the top. The extras include the rod holder, the step scribe, the straight scribe and the carbide tipped straight scribe too. The scale reads in inch increments up to 12", so about 11 inches of height capacity with the straight scriber attachment. No rust or damage, some minor darkening of the finish in a few area, but look nice. Very nicely made! A very clean precision machinist tool by a well known quality tool maker!
