Our monumental silver centerpiece bowl and mirrored plateau, circa 1933-1944, comes from Buccellati of Milan.  Plateau is 29 inches (73.6 cm) wide.  Total weight 254 t. oz, 7,909 g.

The centerpiece bowl shaped oval, the bombé sides cast and chased with rocaille and acanthus, with fully modeled winged putti on pedestals at the corners above bracket feet cast with grotesque masks, with handles at each end fully formed as female griffins with outstretched wings, the putti and griffins all connected with swags of flowers, the oval mirror plateau with a conforming border cast with rocaille and acanthus with bosses on each side draped with floral swags, marked on underside of centerpiece bowl and border of mirror plateau
