Quantity available: 1

Our original advertising poster for the Cole Bros. Circus dates from circa 1940. Newly framed around 2005 in thin metal glazed frame with gunmetal finish. Frame measures 15.25" high by 29.25" wide by 1" deep. Weighs approximately 5 lbs. This work was purchased in the frame and so we've never seen the rear side. This poster depicts the Grand Entry with numerous horses and circus performers entering the big top. Lower right corner reads ANOTHER US POSTER NO 41-121-26-5 and lower left corner reads LITHO IN U.S.A.. Condition is good. There are just a few creases and tears that you can see in our closeup images.

Founded in 1884 by William Washington Cole as W.W. Cole’s New Colossal Show, it was one of the longest-operating circuses in the U.S., operating through 2014.
