Cartoon Contest How They Saved The Aviator 1934 This is an September 1934 cartoon. It is a nice black and white cartoon . It is an answer to a previous contest titled How They Saved The Aviator. . At center left is the Problem and grouped around it are the three prize winning cartoons The problem in this contest was the aviator was parachuting out of an airplane directly into a field where there was blasting going on. The first prize shows the Aviators parachute caught on the plane and he is being flown away from the field.. Problem picture is signed by Phil Rolfsea and solution picture is signed by N Williams In excellent condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the cartoon. this magazine tear sheet measures 8 inches wide by 11 1/2 inches tall.
