Cartoon Unsigned New Years Eve 1948 this is a January 1948 black and white hillbilly cartoon that is not signed. Calendar on wall reads December 31, 1947. Five members of family standing and watching the grandfather clock that reads five minutes until 12. Clock in pretty sad shape. The two women are smoking pipes. One is holding a hammer and a pan to make noise. Others are holdings pans and large spoons to make noise when the clock strikes 12. Even the little one has a noisemaker. Chicken is looking at a hand gun that is laying on the floor. None of these folks looks like they have much patience. Just waiting. No caption. In excellent condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This original magazine tear sheet measures 9 1/2 inches wide by 13 1/4 inches tall.
