Caterpillar Detour for Death Ad 1952 This is a June 14, 1952 advertisement. It is a nice color ad from Caterpillar Tractor Co of Peoria, Illinois. It pictures a policeman stopping traffic after an accident. The accident happened because the road had washed out under the pavement and it caved. This would not have happened if the highway commission had been given enough money for proper inspection and repair. It's worth your tax dollars to drive on safe roads. In mint condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This magazine tear sheet measures 10 1/2"" wide by 13 3/4"" tall.
