Signed and dated on the print; also on verso of the mat with printing notes. Catharina Marlowe is a Santa Cruz based photographer who has exhibited widely on the west coast. She describes this unusual process thus: 'A color pigment positive and a black and white negative are made on the computer. The positive image is printed with archival inks on watercolor paper and the black-and-white negative is printed on transparent material; both are identical in size since they are printed from the same file. Then the pigment print is coated with a layer of platinum and exposed to the negative using the platinum printing process. The result is a platinum print with subdued, subtle colors and rich textures.'
