Ceremonial necklace. Handmade of sequins and tinsel with silk material glued to cardboard, this is large and was probably used in a festival or ceremony. It was acquired in a estate purchase from a Missionary who traveled mostly to India and Africa in the 1950-70 era. This is marked 3/25 on the back (original price, but I am not sure what currency). I am not sure of the date of these as they appear older than 1950. The largest medallion is 4 x 5"", it will hang about waist length (about 20"") and there is a 10"" string to adjust length up to another 5"" (25""). Excellent condition. This has a red & green floral type arrangement on it.
