Square Antique Table Chinese (Chinese Antique Square Table). The style of this antique Chinese square table is often referred to as a traditional "bamboo style" table due to the bamboo-like pieces of wood making up the apron area between the legs. It is also a fine example of an "Immortals" table. The Eight-Immortal Table is a big square table with four equal sides, with each side having a bench for two immortals. The table can accommodate a total of eight, hence the name. This table is simply structured and it is very practical. While this table is quite refined, the waist less form is actually more like earlier, pre-Ming styles. The top surface is made from multi-pieces of wood. The patina is dark brown.
