Quantity available: 1

Our Chinese export games box is the finest example we have seen in our twenty years in business.  It includes 12 trays including eight depicting face cards, three with gilt and black lacquered landscape scenes, and one depicting a gentleman with the word "Game", plus four boxes with lids, some containing original English playing cards by Goodal and Son of London, dating from the 1880s, and box containing a complete set of scoring chips, magnificently carved from mother-of-pearl in three shapes.  Chips and the lid marked with a monogram in script, TW (or FW?) with unicorn above.

Included are handwritten notes on games and handwritten game pieces on paper.

Additional images forwarded upon request.
