This is a mystery piece!!! This lovely little carved and jeweled monkey has me perplexed! I am not sure if it is really carved wood or some kind of molded composite material. But, there are no mold marks. I believe the eyes are tiny brads. There is an "eye" shaped hole in the bottom which might have had something like a hatpin shank or hair stick in it, now gone. In any case, whatever this little fella turns out to be, "she" is cute just "sitting" around, holding her jewel and sitting on her jeweled "ottoman"! The detail in the face is really quite good. She measures approx. 1 1/2" tall by 1" deep and 7/8" wide. The fees quoted for shipping are for priority/No insurance in USA.
