The cyanotype or, blue print, is one of photography's oldest printing methods. Used as early as 1841, process was a popular during the late 19th and early 20th Centuries and is still used today by contemporary photographic artists. Cyanotype is a printing out process, meaning the negative is place directly against the paper while being exposed in the sunlight. Different degrees of exposure and UV light produced variations in the color depth of the print.
